Extract from Steritroxing trials undertaken by Campden and Chorleywood Food Research Association, Chipping Campden. Report No. FH/74435/3

“The Steritroxing treatment also worked well with the soiled bacterial samples. Over 4 log reductions were obtained for E. coli for example after 45 minutes treatment. 35 minutes of treatment from the prototype Steritroxing produced typically 2-3 log reductions for the bacteria tested. The yeast was reduced by 1-3 log reductions and the mould was reduced by 1-3 log reductions also. The different surfaces used for the trials did not appear to influence the bacterial non-soil results.

The overall conclusion is that the prototype Steritroxing equipment worked well against the bacteria tested with typically 2-3 log reductions obtained. Results against yeast and mould were more variable with some results showing 1-3 log reductions”.
